1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WeighSnap: Weight Tracker (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

WeighSnap: Weight Tracker is an Android application available via Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.axiomplaystudios.weighsnap) that helps users track body weight measurements, view trends and analytics, and export data. Optional features include ads, a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, Google Drive backup, Health Connect sync, and in-app feedback. The App is provided by axiomplaystudios ("we", "us", or "our").

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Data and Accounts

  • The App does not require an account. Most data is stored locally on your device by default.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any data you enter and for securing access to your device.
  • Optional features (such as Google Drive backup, Health Connect sync, and in-app feedback) may transmit data as described in our Privacy Policy: https://axiomplaystudios.github.io/projects/weighsnap/privacy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App

6. Health Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: WeighSnap is designed for informational and tracking purposes only. It is NOT a medical device and should NOT be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • The App provides calculated metrics (such as BMI) based on data you enter. These calculations are estimates and may not be accurate for all individuals.
  • Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making any decisions related to your health, weight, diet, or exercise.
  • We do not provide medical advice through the App.
  • If you have or suspect you have a medical problem, contact your healthcare provider immediately.

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by axiomplaystudios and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8. User-Generated Content and Data

  • You retain all rights to the data you enter into the App (weight entries, notes, etc.).
  • By using the App, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process your data solely to provide the App's functionality.
  • We will not share, sell, or use your personal data for purposes other than as described in our Privacy Policy: https://axiomplaystudios.github.io/projects/weighsnap/privacy.

9. In-App Purchases and Ads

  • The "Remove Ads" purchase is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Payment and refund handling are governed by Google Play's policies.
  • If ads are enabled, the App uses Google Mobile Ads and related consent flows to deliver ads. Ad providers may collect data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services to provide optional features. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, including:

  • Google Play Billing (payments)
  • Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform (ads and consent)
  • Google Drive (cloud backup)
  • Health Connect (health data sync)
  • Firebase/Firestore (analytics, crash reporting, performance, and feedback)

11. Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice
  • Update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version and updating the "Last updated" date.
  • Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
  • WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS
  • IN NO EVENT SHALL AXIOMPLAYSTUDIOS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE APP (IF ANY)

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless axiomplaystudios and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party

14. Data Export and Deletion

  • You may export your data at any time using the App's CSV export features.
  • You may delete data stored locally on your device by removing entries in the App or uninstalling the App.
  • If you use Google Drive backup, you can delete those backups from your Google Drive account.
  • If you submit in-app feedback, you may request deletion by contacting us at axiomplaystudios@gmail.com. We will delete feedback records from our systems where applicable.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App will immediately cease
  • All data stored locally on your device will remain on your device unless you delete it
  • Any provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive

16. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer is located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy (https://axiomplaystudios.github.io/projects/weighsnap/privacy), constitute the entire agreement between you and axiomplaystudios regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
